 Dr. Deborah Hamm has been the Superintendent of Schools for Newton USD 373 since July of 2012. She is a Newton teaching veteran, having taught 4th and 5th grades for USD 373 from 1989-1996, and having served as an assistant principal for the district from 1996-1998. Dr. Hamm also previously served as an elementary principal for McPherson USD 418, as a middle school principal for Cheney USD 268, and as the Superintendent for Oxford USD 358. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education, a master’s degree and a doctorate degree in educational administration, all from Wichita State University.
